Materia runs construction material ordering
One application for the whole life of an order: construction phase, quote request, offer, order, delivery, installation. And at every step it knows what comes next.
- 01
You know the next step
A rules engine walks every item on every project and names what to quote, what to order and who to chase. No guessing.
- 02
You know whether the price is sane
Prices at eleven suppliers refresh every night. A received quote is compared line by line against a ±5 % threshold.
- 03
You know who sent what
Supplier correspondence pairs to the project and the item. The whole team sees the history, not just the person who wrote it.

How we do it
Three things we insist on
Nothing leaves without your click
Materia drafts the email, fills in recipients, subject, body and attachments, and puts it in the approval queue. A human always has to press send. With orders worth hundreds of thousands, that is exactly how you want it.
Explainable automation, not a black box
The next-step planner, the status derivation and the risk flags are rules, not a model’s guess. For every suggestion you can trace the exact date or status that triggered it. We only bring AI in where rules fall short — reading non-standard PDF quotes.
A price you can verify
Materia tracks prices at eleven supplier e-shops and refreshes them every night. When a quote arrives, it compares it line by line against the market price and, with a ±5 % threshold, flags what is cheaper, on par or more expensive.
Case study
Running in production at a construction company
“We used to keep orders in email and spreadsheets, and every week somebody was hunting for what had been sent to whom. Today I open a project and see what has been quoted, what has been ordered and what should already be on site. What surprised me most was the quote comparison — for the first time we have it in black and white whether the price a supplier sent us is anywhere near normal.”
Case study
From scattered emails to a system that in four months took over the entire ordering cycle of one construction company.

Or we build something of your own
Materia began as a project for a single company. We can build an operational tool for your process the same way — from design through deployment to running it.
Custom operational applications
Internal systems for companies whose operations leak into email, spreadsheets and tools that never talk to each other. From process design through deployment to training people.
AI where it actually pays off
We are not the company that puts a chatbot behind every button. We deploy AI on tasks where rules fall short — document reading, data extraction, classification. The rest stays deterministic so it can be explained.
Integrations and data migration
Data in three systems and a fourth on the way? We can connect them, extract the history and move it elsewhere — including systems that offer no official export.
Let us show you on one of your projects
Half an hour, one of your real projects and your actual quotes. You will see what the system would flag as the next step and whether that last quote was reasonable.
